Klong Koo Restaurant

Klong Koo Restaurant in Khao Lak is fantastic and in such a beautiful setting, where else can you sit at tables and chairs in a river surrounded by jungle having a few drinks and eating lunch.

This place is very rustic and basic, but the food is amazing, freshly made, delicious and excellent prices.

For an example of prices, the 3 dishes in the photos below plus rice, 2 small Singha’s and 1 Thai Iced Tea was 460baht, about AU18.

Just head north of Bang Niang Markets and follow the signs for Sai Rung Waterfall, once you turn off the main road then take the next road on your right and you will find Klong Koo and the owner is a lovely man.

There are only about 7 or 8 tables in the river so ring and book first as it would be a shame to miss out, actually it is a good idea to ring during low season as well as depending on the river level, weather etc the restaurant may be closed.
