CHABA HOTEL KATA BEACH
Chaba Hotel in Kata is part of a 3 hotel complex run by the Beach Group and you can get some fantastic deals during low season with prices through certain booking engines of around $30 a night with breakfast for a superior room.
Location for us is perfect as we usually catch up with friends who live in the area and there are plenty of shops and restaurants a minutes’ walk away. The Superior rooms are very small with a tiny balcony (sort of) measuring about ten inches wide, but at least you can open the doors up.
The bathroom is small and basic, nothing flash but for the price we did not expect luxury. The bed was comfortable, there is a small table and chairs in the room, small television and fridge. The 3 hotels have swimming pools and whatever hotel you stay in you can use the pools and facilities at the other hotels. However, the pool at the back of Chaba is lovely with plenty of lounge chairs. Breakfast was very good and food and drinks are reasonably priced.
So all in all a good value place to stay if the price is right!
