KATA COUNTRY HOUSE
Kata Country House is surrounded by lovely tropical gardens with lots of beautiful statues and towards the back of the hotel is a lily pond. We had a look at 3 different rooms and decided on a Bungalow with a private balcony overlooking the lily pond which was not bad for 1200baht a night walk in rate with breakfast (about AU$40).
There are squirrels, birds, chooks and frogs everywhere, also car parking free Wi-Fi which is virtually nonexistent and in your room they also supply a bag with a double beach mat and towels.
Location is pretty good surrounded by restaurants and shops; however it is about a 10 minute walk to the beach as the hotel is in front of Club Med. The restaurant is also nice with very reasonable prices.
