Klong Sok River Tubing

Well our day started so beautiful and sunny, so I booked river tubing then 10 minutes before we were due to start the heavens opened. No problems we waited another 30 minutes and it cleared up.

Now I did not have a water proof camera with me, but I took the chance of taking it with us in a plastic bag. I gave it to Jack our guide to hold while we were getting in our tubes, thinking it would be safer that way!!

But no, Jack slipped and fell into the water, his hand went up into the air and I reached over and grabbed the camera. Apparently this is the first time he has ever fallen in while getting into his tube.

Anyway, the camera seemed ok, the bag was wet and there was a very small amount of moisture in the screen, but it worked perfectly. No way was I going river tubing without any photos.

We had so much fun, the tubing went for 1.5 hours, the views were amazing and there were also lots of monkeys in the trees, it was all perfectly safe and at the end we were taken back to our hotel by truck, all for the price of 400baht each.

We actually booked this tour from our hotel in Khao Sok but it can also be booked from any of the tour agents in Khao Lak with transfers provided to the river which is about an hours drive from Khao Lak.
