We usually do not eat at seafood restaurants along the beach road but many years ago we did have a nice meal at Tantawan Seafood Restaurant.

So one night recently we were walking past and decided it was time to eat here again.

They have a huge selection of fresh seafood including platters on display so I chose the Seafood Platter for 2 which was 2,600baht. This platter included lobster, oysters, squid, crabs and prawns then you have it cooked any way you like.

All I can say is all the food was delicious and my lobster thermidor was perfect. Service was also fast and friendly. There is good entertainment with a Filipino band that will play requests and Wednesdays nights there is an Elvis show.

Tantawan Seafood is part of the Thara Patong Beach Resort on the Beach Rd and has a huge selection of food from seafood to Thai and caters for all budgets.
