THE DRUNKEN LEPRECHAUN PATONG BEACH
The Drunken Leprechaun opened in May 2015 and is part of the Dusit D2 Resort on Ruam Jai Road Patong. The first thing we noticed was how clean and fresh everything was, plus all the memorabilia and Irish sayings on the walls that made it fun just to walk around checking it all out. Oh and the toilets are spotless.
The staff are also very friendly and welcoming but not over the top which was nice.
Due to staying in Phuket for 6 months of the year I start to crave some comfort food so where better to go than an Irish Pub. Gary ordered the Beef and Guiness Pie which he was very happy with and of course I ordered the bangers and mash.
My meal was ok, not great just ok, the sausages looked and tasted like they had been boiled then thrown on a grill to brown them for about 2 seconds. So it was disappointing. The mash potato was good.
We also shared an entree of Cheesy Chips but there was nowhere near enough gravy and melted cheese. Drinks are more expensive than the norm but we expected that due to it being part of the Dusit.
So besides that we did enjoy ourselves at the Drunken Leprechaun and we will definitely go back to try their Sunday roasts.
