TUNK KA CAFE PHUKET TOWN
Tunk Ka Cafe is situated at the top of Rang Hill not far from the center of Phuket Town, just follow the signs and the shady staircase down to the restaurant and you will soon see why it is so popular with locals.
The views are amazing out over the city to the ocean and if you are lucky you may even see monkeys at the top of the hill but take notice of the warning signs – do not feed them and yes they bite!
Tunk Ka Cafe has been open for well over 30 years and has been a firm favorite of ours for over 10 years, this is the place to go for delicious, inexpensive, beautifully presented authentic Thai food. They also make the best ice coffee in Phuket.
The menu features Thai dishes, local Phuket dishes, seafood and a small selection of sandwiches.

Some of our favorite meals here are deep fried local vegetables with various dipping sauces, deep fried pork, squid with garlic and pepper, this is one of the best squid dishes we have ever had and chicken with cashew nuts.
Tunk Ka Cafe is one of our favorite restaurants, we highly recommend you try to at least visit there once, you will not regret it!
Our recent visit to Tunk Ka Café with friends was a bit of a nightmare, our orders were mixed up, some dishes did not arrive and sorting out the bill was virtually impossible. This was nothing like our previous visits so we are hoping it was just an extremely bad day and not a sign of things to come.
Of course this will not stop us going there in a few weeks time and hopefully things have gone back to normal at Tunk Ka Café.
